City of Los Angeles (Building and Safety), PSI v. W.C.A.B., Eboni Nichols

2009 California Workers' Compensation Appeals Board (WCAB) decision
WCAB held that the applicant's industrial injury was not barred by the going and coming rule, when WCAB found that personal comfort exception applied.

Unbelievable Incorporated d/b/a Frontier Hotel and Casino

1995 National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) decision
NLRB held that where an employer or its agent engages in "bad faith" designed to cause or unnecessarily prolong litigation before the NLRB, attorney fees and negotiation expenses may be awarded against the employer.

Wellman v. Fox

1990 Nevada Supreme Court decision
Established that candidates in internal union political campaigns have substantial latitude regarding comments they may make about their opponents.

Clayton v. United Automobile Workers

1981 United States Supreme Court decision
Established the parameters under which a labor organization may require a member to exhaust internal union remedies prior to the filing of a Duty of Representation lawsuit.

In Re: Catalano

1980 California Supreme Court decision
Established the rights of union agents to enter private property, under certain circumstances, to enforce police collective bargaining agreements.
