Analisa Swan

Analisa Swan focuses her practice solely on workers' compensation law and has worked as an attorney with Levy, Stern, Ford & Wallach since March 2004.  Ms. Swan is a member in good standing with the United States District Court for the Central District of California, the California state courts, the California State Bar, the California Applicants' Attorneys Association, and the Southern California Applicants' Attorneys Association.

From August 2002 through August 2003, Ms. Swan served as a law clerk and research attorney in an honors program at the Los Angeles Civil Superior Court.  In May 2002, she graduated from Pepperdine University School of Law, cum laude, at the top 9% of the class.  She received Cali and Witkin Awards for the highest grade in multiple classes, and is a Dean's Scholarship Recipient.  Ms. Swan is a member of the Dean's List and the prestigious Pepperdine Law Review.  Her law review contribution, Note: Apprendi v. New Jersey, The Scaling Back of the Sentencing Factor Revolution and the Resurrection of Criminal Defendant Rights, How Far is Too Far? was selected by the Pepperdine Law Review Board as the best student work of the year 2001, and received the Robert Sorenson Award.

In 1999, Ms. Swan graduated from the University of Southern California, cum laude, with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration and a minor in international relations.  She is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma (business honor society), Golden Key National Honor Society, Blackstonians Pre-Law Honor Society, Alpha Lambda Delta (freshman honor society), and the Dean's List.

 

 

Rudy Balderama

Rudy Balderama is currently an associate in the firm's labor department.  Mr. Balderama's areas of expertise range from traditional union representation matters to plaintiff-side employment litigation.  He represents public and private sector labor unions in state and federal courts, administrative proceedings, and arbitrations, and devotes a significant portion of his practice to cases involving harassment and discrimination.

Mr. Balderama received his B.A., magna cum laude, from University of California Los Angeles in 1999 and his Juris Doctor from UCLA Law School in 2003.  He worked as a public interest advocate even before his career with Levy, Stern, Ford & Wallach.  Prior to becoming an associate with Levy, Stern, Ford & Wallach, Mr. Balderama worked in San Francisco as a tenants' rights attorney.  He has long been committed to working for unions through his various legal clerkships with labor-side firms and his past involvement in grassroots labor organizing.

Presently, Rudy is an active member of the AFL-CIO Lawyers Coordinating Committee, the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the National Lawyers Guild, and the California Employment Lawyers Association. Additionally, he is a fluent Spanish speaker and takes pride in his ability to effectively represent Latino clients.
