Adam N. Stern

Adam N. Stern is a partner in the labor department of Levy, Stern, Ford, & Wallach.  Mr. Stern has successfully represented working people and labor unions in litigation in federal and state courts, before federal and state administrative agencies, and in collective bargaining, mediation, and arbitration.  He was recently nominated by Los Angeles Magazine as a Southern California SuperLawyer for his work in employment and labor law.

Mr. Stern originally joined Levy, Stern, Ford, & Wallach in 1982.  Upon obtaining his law degree from Southwestern University School of Law, he was hired as an associate attorney in the firm's labor department.  During his many years with the firm, he has handled hundreds of cases before the federal and state courts, the National Labor Relations Board, the California State Personnel Board, the Public Employment Relations Board, and other administrative agencies.  While Mr. Stern has extensive experience representing unions and union members in all aspects of labor laws, he has a particular interest in cases involving organizing campaigns.

Since becoming a partner, Mr. Stern has overseen an expansion of the firm's practice through not only traditional labor law, but all aspects of employment law, including wage and hour laws, discrimination, sexual harassment, and other violations.  Mr. Stern is an active employment law instructor at the Los Angeles Trade Tech College Labor Center.

Scott Ford

Scott Ford is certified by the State Bar of California as a Specialist in Workers' Compensation Law, and has focused his practice solely on the representation of injured workers.  He has served as a Judge Pro Tem at the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board and is also on the faculty of the Labor Studies Program at Los Angeles Trade Technical College, where he teaches Workers' Compensation and Employee Benefits Law.  Mr. Ford was recognized by Los Angeles Magazine as a SuperLawyer for his efforts in workers' compensation in 2006, 2008, 2009, and 2010.

Mr. Ford is currently an elected Director of the California Applicants' Attorneys Association and is a past president of the Southern California Applicants' Attorneys Association.  He is a member of the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles and the Workers' Compensation Section of the California State Bar.  He graduated from the University of California at San Diego in 1988 and from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles with Dean's List Honors in 1993.
